Regional Specialized Training Program on Disaster Management & Fire Safety, AIILSG,Vadodara, Gujarat, 30th November 2024

Regional Centre for Urban & Environmental Studies (RCUES) of All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG), Mumbai supported by MoHUA, GoI, excited to share the highlights of an amazing event organized on 30th November 2024 at Laxmi Vilas Palace, Vadodara where Disaster Management & Fire Safety Professionals made remarkable contribution to strengthen the knowledge and skills of fire officers in disaster management and fire safety. With around 40 enthusiastic participants, the training program was a step up towards building safe & resilient communities.

The training program was officially inaugurated by the Hon’ble Shri Ranjit Chavan, President of AIILSG, with several distinguished guests in the presence of Respected Ms. Hansa Patel, Senior Executive Advisor of AIILSG, Vadodara, Dr. Ajit Salvi, Director of RCUES of AIILSG, Mumbai, Mr. Hemendra Rawal, Consultant in Fire Safety, Vadodara, Mr. Amit Chaudhari, Station Officer of Fire & Emergency Services at Vadodara Municipal Corporation, Mr. Dinesh Patel, Regional Director of AIILSG, Vadodara, Ms. Neha Hardikar, Senior Research Officer of RCUES of AIILSG, Mumbai, and Mr. Chandresh Shah, Hon. Executive Director of AIILSG, Vadodara.

Hon’ble President AIILSG, Shri Ranjit Chavan Sir, in his welcome address, emphasized the importance of fire services and encouraged the participants to uplift their emergency preparedness skills. He wished success to the training program.

The training program included thought provoking sessions led by Director, RCUES of AIILSG, Mumbai & renowned resource persons, highlighting on ensuring community well-being through proactive public health and safety measures, encouraging swift and effective responses to emergencies with robust rescue management, promoting fire prevention and strengthening preparedness for unexpected challenges & importance of First Aid & CPR, followed by a hands-on demonstration by fire officers on the use of fire extinguishers.
