Girl Power Project (funded by the EU)
Project Details: Capacitating CSOs & Empowering Women and Girls through Social Entrepreneurship. This project will address the global objective of the call, which is to strengthen the ability of Indian civil society and its organisations to perform their role as independent agents of change, implementing actions that bring transformative change into the lives of women and girls. We will foster the holistic development and empowerment of CSOs working on women support and empowerment in the state of Jharkhand. This project proposes to use a combination of training, skill building, network formation, policy dialogue under the umbrella program of entrepreneurial support to achieve the objectives of the call. The project will meet these specific objectives in the order of considered priority.
The current activities which are ongoing are-
(a) Setting up of CSO-Advisory Group- This activity will create a supervisory and advisory group in charge of training and capacity building called the CSO-Advisory Group (CSO-AG). The main aim of the CSO-AG is to advice the project on CSO capacity building and skill building both for CSOs (Cluster 2 CSO Capacity Building) and Women and Girls training (Cluster 3 Skill Building). The CSO-AG will provide strategic directions and will have overall supervision and control over curriculum.
(b) Jharkhand Mahila Social Entrepreneurship Market Connect (JMSEMC) or Market Connect- AIILSG has already set up the “Jharkhand Mahila Social Entrepreneurship Market Connect (JMSEMC) or Market Connect office at Ranchi (state HQs) of Jharkhand. A team of dedicated staff has been recruited for the project.
