Launch Event of AIILSG’s Centenary Celebration (1926 – 2026)

All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG) celebrated its launch event of Centenary Celebration on 26thSeptember 2025 at its Mumbai Head office at Bandra, marking 100 years of excellence in Urban Development & Local Governance.AIILSG staff sang devotional songs for Saraswati Vandana followed by the inauguration.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Jairaj Phatak, IAS (Retd.), Director General, AIILSG, in the esteemed presence of Dr. (Prof.) Sneha Palnitkar, CEO, WMRC, AIILSG Mumbai, CA Devarshi Pandya, CFO, AIILSG Mumbai, Ms. Utkarsha Kavadi, Sr. Executive Director, AIILSG Mumbai, and Dr. Ajit Salvi, Director, RCUES of AIILSG Mumbai, Mr. Shekhar Naik, Executive Director (HR & Admin), AIILSG, Mumbai and Mr. Amit Biswas, Executive Director, (Training & Exam), AIILSG, Mumbai.

Dr. Phatak shared insights into the rich history of AIILSG, while Dr. Palnitkar reflected on her dedicated service and transformative contributions to the institute. CA Pandya and Ms. Kavadi recounted their journey with AIILSG, adding warmth and inspiration to the event. Dr. Salvi presented a visual journey through AIILSG’s century long legacy, highlighting milestones that have shaped its remarkable impact on urban governance in India.

This celebration not only honored the past but also reaffirmed our commitment to advancing knowledge, innovation, and leadership in local self-governance for the next century.AIILSG staff created a vibrant rangoli, enhancing it as a festive ambience.AIILSG will mark its centenary with year-long events and initiatives.
